Pramotesh Sahoo is a documentary photographer and filmmaker based in Odisha. His work explores people, livelihoods, cultural practices, and everyday environments through photography and film, with a focus on observation, fieldwork, and visual storytelling.

His practice is informed by an interest in visual ethnographic research, particularly in understanding communities, traditional crafts, labour, and the social and cultural contexts that shape them. He has worked across Odisha documenting traditional artisans, fishing communities, coastal environments, and everyday life.

For the OCO Residency Programme, he is interested in exploring craft practices through research-led visual documentation, focusing on the people, processes, histories, and contemporary contexts that shape them.
